OVERVIEW
PG-PS 10S and PGPS 100P are purified peptidoglycan-polysaccharide polymers produced from Streptococcus pyogenes Group A, D58 strain. The use of these polymers in animal models induces a biphasic inflammatory response that is highly representative of that which is naturally occurring.
Experimental diseases induced by PG-PS in rats:
acute and chronic, remittent, erosive arthritis
granulomatous enterocolitis (resembling Crohns disease)
granulomatous hepatitis
intestinal hemorrage
vasculitis
Benefits:
Ready-to-use with no special preparation
Produces acute response observed in 3-5 days
Consistently produces high response rates
