Endotoxin-stimulated human PBMC in vitro assay

The human LPS-stimulated PBMC model is a good preliminary screening assay to evaluate a compound's effect on inflammatory cytokine production. Stimulants, readouts and reference compound can be customized to suit a sponsor's requirements.

LPS-stimulated PBMC assay for screening a compound's effect on inflammatory cytokine production, pre-clinical contract research (CRO)

Figure: LPS-stimulated PBMC model. PBMCs were stimulatd with LPS for 24 hours in the presence or absence of dexamethasone. After stimulation, cell culture supernatants were collected and assays for inflammatory mediator production using a multiplex assay. Mean values are shown. Error bars represent standard deviation.
